Loctite 662
LOCTITE® 662 is a yellow, medium-strength retaining compound for bonding cylindrical fitting parts, particularly where product outside the bondline must be completely cured. Narrow beads of this product can be solidified – even when in contact with air or by exposure to high-intensity, short-wavelength UV light. This medium-viscosity urethane methacrylate acrylic liquid cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces or when exposed to UV light of sufficient intensity. It’s designed to prevent loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. It has a 7-minute fixture time on steel and an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C (-67°F to 302°F).
Loctite 640
LOCTITE® 640 is ideal when you need a retaining compound for parts that require a longer positioning time, such as large-diameter parts or those made of active metals such as brass. This high-strength adhesive has a typical fixture time on steel of 2 hours, and a service temperature range of -55°C to 175°C when fully cured. The product's maximum diametrical clearance is 0.1 mm, and it fluoresces when exposed to UV light – great for quality control. Perfect for retaining keys and splines, eliminating backlash in worn assemblies, retaining bearings in place and preventing spin-out, retaining rotor assemblies on shafts in fractional and sub fractional horsepower motors, retaining bushings and sleeves in housings and on shafts, augmenting press fits, and restoring the fit to worn assemblies or out-of-tolerance parts.
Loctite 601
LOCTITE® 601 is a green, high-strength retaining compound for bonding cylindrical fitting parts. It is designed for applications requiring a permanent bond and is suitable for a maximum diametrical clearance of 0.1 mm (0.004"). This low viscosity dimethacrylate ester acrylic liquid cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. It is designed to prevent loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. It has a 25-minute fixture time on steel and an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C (-67°F to 302°F).
Loctite 641
When you’re working with parts that need regular dismantling – bearings on shafts and in housings, for example – try LOCTITE® 641. This medium-strength anaerobic retaining compound cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration.
Loctite 648
LOCTITE® 648 is ideal for preventing loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. This green, low-viscosity, high-strength, anaerobic-curing retaining compound provides reliable bonds in cylindrical assemblies, even when exposed to high-temperature environments. It cures on active metals (e.g. mild steel) as well as passive substrates like stainless steel and plated surfaces, and it even tolerates minor surface contaminations from oils such as cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids – without the use of a primer or cleaner.
Loctite 660
If you want a product that enables the re-use of worn bearing seats, keys, splines or tapers, try LOCTITE® 660. This high-strength retaining compound is designed for the bonding of cylindrical fitting parts, particularly where bond gaps occur – and without the need for re-machining. It’s also suitable for retaining shims. Expect excellent gap-cure characteristics.
Loctite 603
The low viscosity of LOCTITE® 603 makes it ideal for augmenting press/interference fits, or slip-fitted assemblies with small clearances. The high-strength adhesive reliably prevents loosening from shock and vibration on cylindrical parts, such as roller bearings or oil-impregnated bushings mounted in housings, while it also prevents corrosion between the metal parts.
Loctite 121078
LOCTITE® 121078 is a green, high-strength retaining compound for bonding cylindrical fitting parts, designed for applications requiring a permanent bond, particularly where strength at elevated temperatures is required. It’s typically used for holding gears and sprockets onto gearbox shafts and rotors on electric motor shafts. This medium-viscosity urethane methacrylate acrylic liquid cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. It’s designed to prevent loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration. The thixotropic nature of LOCTITE 121078 makes it easy to apply and reduces sealant migration after application. It fluoresces under UV light – great for quality control.
Loctite 638
For a retaining compound offering high strength on all metals, including passive substrates, try LOCTITE® 638. You can expect high-temperature performance and good oil tolerance, a fixture time of just four minutes, and a gap fill of 0.15 mm to 0.25 mm (0.006" to 0.01"). It even tolerates minor surface contaminants, including industrial oils. A high-viscosity product, it’s ideal for shafts, gears, pulleys and similar cylindrical parts, and can also be used for high-strength threadlocking and thread-sealing applications. Its operating temperature range is -55°C to 180°C (-65°F to 355°F).
Loctite 609
When it comes to locking bushings and sleeves in housings on shafts, augmenting press fits, or bonding any close-fitting cylindrical parts, LOCTITE® 609 is a good choice. This green, high-strength, anaerobic-curing retaining compound cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, providing a high-strength and corrosion-free bond. Typical applications include rotor assemblies on shafts in fractional and subfractional horsepower motors.
Loctite 620
When it comes to bonding, locating pins in radiator assemblies, sleeves in pump housings and bearings in auto transmissions – especially when you need high temperature resistance up to 232°C (450°F) –, LOCTITE® 620 is a good choice. This high-strength, anaerobic-curing retaining compound is designed for bonding cylindrical fitting parts to prevent loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration. It cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and can fill gaps from 0.15 mm to 0.25 mm (0.006" to 0.01").
Loctite 680
LOCTITE® 680 is a green, high-strength, anaerobic-curing retaining compound for the assembly and attachment of cylindrical fitting parts, particularly where low viscosity is required. The product prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration and exhibits robust curing performance by curing on both active metals (e.g. mild steel) and passive substrates (e.g. stainless steel and plated surfaces), as well as slightly oiled or contaminated surfaces, without the need for a primer or cleaner.

LOCTITE® High Flex Gasket Maker
Pre-cut and other formed-in-place chemical gaskets have their shortcomings, but there is a solution in LOCTITE® High Flex Gasket Maker. This flexible form-in-place gasket paste provides high temperature resistance and flexibility. It's tough, resilient, solvent- and temperature-resistant seal flexes with flange movements caused by vibration, pressurisation or thermal changes. Perfect for making gaskets for pumps, housings, axle covers, gear cases, split crankcases and other areas where conventional gaskets are used. It can even be used to repair damaged conventional gaskets or as a coating/dressing for conventional gaskets.
LOCTITE® SI 5999
LOCTITE® SI 5999 is a 1-part, grey silicone paste for non-corrosive gasketing and blow-out resistance. It is thixotropic, so the liquid won’t migrate after you’ve applied it to the substrate, and is specially designed for servicing, manufacturing and rebuilding, especially in automotive powertrain applications. It’s suitable for temperatures as high as 250°C (482°F).
LOCTITE® 515
is a form-in-place anaerobic-curing flange sealant that cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It seals close-fitting joints between rigid metal faces and flanges and will flex with minor flange movements. It provides resistance to low pressures immediately after assembly of flanges and is typically used as a form-in-place gasket for pumps, thermostats, compressors, transmission housings, and axle covers. The product is fluorescent under UV light, allowing visual inspection of the bead.
LOCTITE® AA 5820
LOCTITE® AA 5820 is a 1-part, non-silicone, oxime-free, polyacrylate-based adhesive/sealant that cures with moisture at room temperature. It is designed with a heavy body viscosity for online, low air pressure tests to be carried out before the product begins to cure. The non-silicone-based resin doesn’t promote foaming in lubricants and exhibits excellent resistance to powertrain fluids. It’s primarily designed for flange sealing with excellent oil resistance and is non-permeable to hydrocarbons. Ideal for cast metal, stamped steel, and moulded plastic covers for engines, transmissions and axles, it also works well for sealing plastic and metal housings on electronic components.
LOCTITE® SI 587
LOCTITE® SI 587 is a metallic blue, oxime silicone paste used for gasketing and sealing applications in plant maintenance and variously sized OEM applications. A form-in-place gasket/sealant, it has been designed to provide outstanding sealing performance against industrial and automotive engine oils. Its thixotropic nature reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate and allows for reliable quality control, e.g. in dispensing automation as well as manual applications. This product is typically used in demanding applications up to 260°C (500°F).
LOCTITE® 5182
LOCTITE® 5182 is a fast-curing, thixotropic, medium-strength sealant. It cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and is ideal for sealing gaskets, housings, cases and covers, as well as repairing and replacing cut gaskets up to 0.08 mm (0.003") in thickness. Apply heat or use an activator for a faster cure or higher strength.
LOCTITE® SI 5970
For an effective, convenient alternative to pre-cut gaskets, choose LOCTITE® SI 5970. This 1-part alkoxy-silicone sealant has been designed specifically for gasketing applications where in-line, low-pressure quality control tests need to be conducted before the product begins to cure. Ideal for stamped sheet metal covers (timing-gear covers and oil sumps) where you need good oil resistance and the ability to withstand high joint movement.
Loctite 573
To seal close-fitting joints between rigid metal faces and flanges, try LOCTITE® 573. This medium-strength, medium-viscosity sealant is perfect as a form-in-place gasket on rigid flanged connections, e.g. gearbox and engine casings, and for sealing large, rigid metal flanges where assembly may take up to several hours.
Loctite 574
For an instant seal and reduced product migration, try LOCTITE® 574. This general-purpose, thixotropic gasketing product seals close-fitting joints between rigid metal faces and flanges and provides resistance to low pressures immediately after assembly. Ideal for use as a form-in-place gasket on rigid flanged connections, e.g. gearbox and engine casings, it has excellent resistance to oil, water and glycol.
LOCTITE® SI 5980
LOCTITE® SI 5980 is a black, alkoxy-silicone gasketing sealant, ideal for gasketing applications where good oil resistance and the ability to withstand high joint movement are required: typically, stamped sheet-metal covers (timing-gear covers and oil sumps). LOCTITE® SI 5690 is a non-corrosive, oil-resistant, moisture-curing gasketing sealant, ideal for copper and applications involving large gaps. It can also be used for electrical insulating applications and is compatible with various surfaces, including metals and plastics. LOCTITE SI 5690 cures when exposed to moisture in the air to form a rigid rubber gasket. Its thixotropic nature makes it easy to apply and reduces sealant migration after application. LOCTITE® SI 5690 is label-free and offers excellent adhesive strength, even at temperatures up to 350°C (662°F).
LOCTITE® SI 5699
LOCTITE® SI 5699 is a flexible, form-in-place, room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone sealant which cures at room temperature on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, rubber gasket. It is tack-free after just 10 minutes and can be used on flexible, machined or cast surfaces, metal or plastics. Great for general flange applications and, in particular, rigid-flange-sealing on, for example, transmissions and cast metal housings. Perfect for when water/glycol resistance is required.
LOCTITE® 518
LOCTITE® 518 is a general-purpose, primer less, semi-flexible, form-in-place anaerobic flange sealant. It cures – even in the presence of minor surface contaminants – to seal close- fitting joints between rigid metal flanges and will flex with minor flange movements. It provides resistance to low pressures immediately after assembly of flanges and is ideal for use on aluminium substrates where you need very good flexibility. Typically used as a form-in-place gasket for pumps, thermostats, compressors, transmission housings and axle covers, it not only works on active metals (e.g. mild steel) but also on passive substrates, such as aluminium with a low copper content. You can expect gap-filling performance to 0.25 mm (0.01").
LOCTITE® SI 5920
If you are looking for a highly temperature-resistant, moisture-curing sealant for corrosion-sensitive applications, LOCTITE® SI 5920 could be a great fit. Its thixotropic nature allows for easy flow dispensing, while preventing the migration of liquid product once applied to the part. It is ideal for sealing flexible flanges with machined or cast surfaces and is particularly suitable for high-temperature applications up to 350°C (662°F). It is also used for electrical insulating applications.
LOCTITE® SI 5900
LOCTITE® SI 5900 is a moisture-cured, heavy-bodied, silicone-based, form-in-place flange sealant with excellent resistance to oil and joint movement. Its heavy-bodied properties allow it to withstand in-line, low-pressure tests before the product begins to cure. Typical applications include stamped sheet metal covers, and it is suitable for gaps up to 1 mm (0.04") in metal, plastics, glass, and ceramic substrates. It has a skin-over time of just 15 minutes, and once cured provides a seal that won’t shrink, compress, crack or relax, even when exposed to oil or joint movements.
LOCTITE® SI 5910
When you need a low-strength, silicone-based, form-in-place gasketing product designed for use on flexible flanges with machined or cast surfaces (metal or plastics), LOCTITE® SI 5910 is a good choice. It is suitable for gaps up to 1 mm (0.039") and offers a cure-through volume (in 24 h) of 2.75 mm (0.108"). Typical applications include stamped sheet metal covers (timing-gear covers and oil sumps). LOCTITE® 460

LOCTITE® 4061
LOCTITE® 4061 is a very low-viscosity (medical device grade) instant adhesive designed especially for the fast bonding of plastics and rubbers. LOCTITE® HY 4090
LOCTITE® HY 4090 is a fast and powerful, high-viscosity, off-white-to-light-yellow universal bonder. In the world of structural bonding, it is unique, combining strength and speed to provide powerful, long-lasting bonds. It has a fixture time of 90-180 seconds and is suitable for gaps up to 5 mm (0.2"). Resistant to vibration, shock and impact, it works with a wide range of substrates. LOCTITE® HY 4080

LOCTITE® AA 330
LOCTITE® AA 330 is a 2-step, acrylic-based multi-purpose structural bonder, perfect for dissimilar substrates like PVC, phenolic and acrylic compounds. LOCTITE® UR 7221
LOCTITE® UR 7221 is a solvent-free, polyurethane (PU) adhesive ideal for general assembly applications. It’s typically used for manufacturing sandwich elements with porous substrates, e.g. wood, which contain humidity. The substrates can be bonded to one another or to metals, laminated panels, various plastics, rigid foams made of polystyrene, polyurethane, and others. When applied, LOCTITE UR 7221 hardens by humidity or spraying with a fine water mist. At room temperature and with the required humidity in the joint, sufficient strength will be obtained after approximately 2 to 4 h. Faster curing can be achieved using a heated press with a maximum temperature of 70°C (158°F).
