Loctite 222
Low-strength threadlocker for the locking and sealing of small fasteners under 6.35 mm (1/4") in diameter. Prevents loosening from shock and vibration, removable with hand tools. If you’re working with small diameter screws made of low strength metals (e.g., aluminum or brass), try LOCTITE® 222. It is ideal for low strength threadlocking of adjustment screws, countersunk head screws, and set screws.
Loctite 243
This iconic threadlocker locks and seals metal nuts and bolts to prevent loosening due to shock and vibration. Medium strength: removable with hand tools. LOCTITE® 243 is a blue, general purpose threadlocker that provides a medium-strength bond. It works on all metals without primer, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plated surfaces. Suitable for use on most oil-coated fasteners without cleaning.
Loctite 290
This high-strength threadlocker permanently secures and seals bolts, nuts and studs to prevent loosening due to shock and vibration. It’s perfect for all metals, including passive substrates, and is tolerant of light coatings of rust-preventative oils and minor contamination without needing to be cleaned. When you need to permanently lock assemblies that must not come loose, LOCTITE® 270 is a great choice. This high strength threadlocker has maximum efficacy in securing and sealing bolts, nuts and studs to prevent loosening due to shock and vibration. It works on all metals without the need for a surface activator or primer – including passive substrates like stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces – and can cure through light coatings of corrosion-prevention oils and cutting fluids without needing to clean the surfaces prior to application. The lock might be permanent, but it can still be disassembled: simply heat to 300°C (572°F) and remove while still hot.
